I was born and raised in central Massachusetts, where I earned my bachelor's degree and master's degree in counseling from Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts. I moved to South Carolina in 1985 and have been a resident of Lexington since 1992. Although I have not forgotten my northern roots, I now call South Carolina home. After working in the counseling field for several years, I attended the University of South Carolina School of Law, graduating in 1997. Following my graduation from law school, I spent the next six (6) years working for the South Carolina Department of Social Services child support enforcement division, assisting custodial parents in establishing and enforcing child support orders. I have been in private practice since 2004, focusing almost exclusively on family law matters - divorce, child custody, separation, visitation, child support, and division of marital property. Since entering private practice as a divorce lawyer, I have also represented numerous clients in DSS abuse and neglect matters and have gained valuable experience in this area.
In 2007, I moved my practice from Columbia to Lexington to be closer to home. However, my practice is state-wide and I enjoy traveling to different counties across the state. My philosophy about practicing law is that it requires a cooperative effort and good communication between me and my clients. My goal is to provide high-quality legal services for a reasonable fee.
